Royal Jelly is a creamy secretion from the gland located in the heads of young adult female nurse bee. Bees produce Royal Jelly to feed their young larvae for the first three days of their lives, however only the Queen Bee receives a diet of pure Royal Jelly for her entire life.Queen Bees are usually 2 3 times larger than other bees, live between 6 8 years and are capable of laying twice her body weight of eggs everyday while the live span of the worker bee is only between 2 3 months. Thus we can imagine the power of Royal Jelly. Royal Jelly is mainly produced by adding frames of specially designed plastic cups containing larvae to the beehive and harvesting the Royal Jelly fed to these cells after three days. The process is not harmful to the larvae or the bee colony as a whole.
